Edward J. Kelly, 68, of Bassett Street died Wednesday at Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the son of the late James P. and Mildred M. (Smith) Kelly. He was a lifelong resident of the City. Mr. Kelly was a Maintenance Electrician for the Wrentham State School for many years and was a Classic Car enthusiast as well as a Collector of antique cars. He was a member of the RI Army National Guard. He is survived by a sister, Sharon Crossman, her husband Frederick, their son Frederick Crossman, Jr. of Warwick, a brother James P. Kelly of FL and also his beloved dog, Rosie. A funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 am from the CHEETHAM MORTUARY INC., 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St Leo the Great Church, 697 Central Ave., Pawtucket. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 4-7 pm. www.cheethammortuary.com
