Doris I. (Fleming) Young, 88, of Woodbine Street, Cranston and formerly of Pawtucket, died Monday at Kent County Hospital. She was the wife of the late Raymond O. Young. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late John and Lena (Sylvestre) Fleming and lived most of her life in Pawtucket moving to Cranston seven years ago. She was a Tax Clerk for the City of Pawtucket for over fifteen years retiring in 1984. Surviving are three sons, Ronald Young of Indiatlantic FL, Michael Young of Warwick, and Robert Young of Powhattan, VA; three daughters Nancy LaChappelle of Coventry, Barbara Young of Pawtucket and Joan Boulanger of Cranston; 13 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. She was predeceased by five siblings and three great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held on Friday at 10 AM from the CHEETHAM MORTUARY, INC., 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Mary Church, 103 Pine Street, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday morning form 9-10 AM in the funeral home. www.cheethammortuary.com
